Currently, The Salvation Army is running a blanket drive for the benefit of destitute and homeless people in South Africa. The blankets received through this initiative will be sent to all The Salvation Army regions throughout South Africa. The Salvation Army is therefore requesting assistance with this initiative by alerting others about it and asking for donations of blankets from as many people as possible. Donations can also be made through its SMS donation helpline number, 42290. By SMSing either of the words - Winter or Blanket to 42290 - R30 will be donated towards this initiative.
