Thank you for giving warmth and hope this Winter

Every plate of food that you’ve helped to provide this winter has given warmth and hope, but also more.

Across the Territory our Corps and Centres combined food distribution with longer term empowerment projects.

Our Orlando Corps supported their existing sewing project and also distributed clothing

In Galeshewe, vulnerable families received food parcels, and school uniforms, with a soup kitchen in Chris Hani Park.

In Benoni, your kindness helped prepare 300 toiletry packs, give out blankets, children’s clothing and beanies along with serving soup and bread to over 300 people at two sites.

In the icy cold Braamfontein mornings, our Territorial Commanders and officers came together to serve coffee, tea and bread to those who visited, and shared blankets with people in this disadvantaged community.

Winter support continued across Soweto, Ekurhuleni and surrounding areas. Through all these encounters our Salvationists responded to needs for spiritual engagement.

Through their work they sought to reflect the heart of Jesus and share His love with those in need. And you were with us every step of the way. Thank you. And more importantly, thank you for trusting us to put your donations to work where they are needed most.
