Exploring your journey

The greatest human fulfillment is to know God with ever increasing intimacy, to know the call of God to a specific area of ministry and to fulfill that calling in the power of the Holy Spirit. Soldiers of The Salvation Army have been ‘saved to serve’ and although this has become no more than a catchy statement for many, it encapsulates a profound truth and humbling privilege – to be active with Him in advancing His Kingdom.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)

EXPLORE is a journey for those who feel God has a calling on their life to full-time ministry but are not yet sure how they should serve God and what work they should do in God’s way, by God’s power with God’s results! We invite you to take this journey to consider whether God’s calling and purpose for your life is Officership.  May God guide, direct and inspire you as you EXPLORE the specific calling God has for you.

Real-life stories will be shared by Candidates, Cadets and Officers whose personal accounts will broadly cover a variety of life-stages and ministry experiences.

The real challenge today is to hear God’s specific call amidst all the many ambient noises and distractions of our world – to explore what God wants each of us to do for Him!
