It’s five a.m, starting to get light, wake-up time for school-goers at the Joseph Baynes Children’s Home in Pentrich, Pietermaritzburg. A scramble to wash faces, brush teeth, get dressed, make it to breakfast – nourishing oats and milk – by 5.45.
