Dropping in on the Joseph Baynes Child and Youth Care Centre

This Pietermaritzburg Care Centre is already filled with the warmth of love, but some extra warmth was recently delivered in the form of beautifully hand-knitted jerseys and beanies.

These were lovingly made gifts from the ‘knitting ladies’ at the Riverside Manor Retirement Estate and Bryanston Sports Club Bowls Section.  And all the items were received with joy and gratitude.

Joseph Baynes is home to 81 boys and girls, ranging in age from newborn to 18.

One little one was a day old when she was found in the bushes at night by a homeless man.

Another baby was found abandoned near a railway line.  Both are now doing well.
