No sooner was Christmas over . . .

No sooner was Christmas over, when parents everywhere started to feel the anxiety of ‘back to school’, and the costs of that – especially in disadvantaged communities.

We understand that, and are committed to removing some of the barriers to ‘back to school’ for families who simply cannot afford the basic requirements including a school uniform.

As always – you helped us to do exactly that.

Thanks to your ‘back to school’ donations, our teams arrived at two schools with boxes filled with basic essential requirements.

At Thula Primary School in Mpumalanga we were met with excitement, and the learners’ faces lit up with joy as they received new school uniforms.  For many, this was their first uniform ever, and they couldn’t wait to try them on.

The scene was similar at William Booth Primary School in northern KwaZulu-Natal.

At both schools, teachers and parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude.

The pride and confidence that comes with wearing a school uniform positively impacts on children’s attitudes towards their education.  It brings a sense of belonging and equality, as well as excitement for the upcoming school year.

Thank you for making this special difference.
