Self Denial Appeal 2018

The Self Denial Appeal in 2017 raised just over R950 000 across Southern Africa for the work of The Salvation Army in developing countries. What a great result which will certainly make a difference in the lives of people

The theme of this year’s appeal, “We Rise as One”, is captured in the stories of transformation from Indonesia, Georgie, Haiti and Tanzania. We focus on a different story with a different theme: We Rise for Families, We Rise for Equality, We Rise for Youth and We Rise for Justice.

With (OWSOMS) One week’s Salary on Missionary Service individuals are challenged to give one week’s salary and in our Corps (Churches) teaching on sacrificial giving is encouraged.

Funds from the Self Denial Appeal bless individuals who are in need and who are living in poverty.

Salvation Army Corps (Churches) are encouraged to set goals and celebrate successes in achieving their goals by their sacrificial giving.

Please join The Salvation Army in Southern Africa in this year’s appeal. We can rise up for families, youth, injustice and equality.

The Army’s mission is our Mission, it depends on our support, let’s do our best.
