Thank you for also bringing Christmas to Manenberg.

Manenberg in the Western Cape is a place where substance abuse and gang violence are daily realities for many.  It’s also a community suffering from poverty, where the majority of people exist on social grants and pensions.

Christmas Day for most families there was a question mark. There was no certainty of even some food on the table.  But thanks to your generosity, our Manenberg Corps answered that question mark.

After the service on Christmas day, corps members and friends gathered to spread and share Christmas love with a nutritious meal to people in the greatest need.

Buckets of Love were also delivered door to door visiting sick and elderly residents.  These visits also provided an opportunity to share a prayer and a word of encouragement in these times of uncertainty.

Thanks to your kindness, Christmas Day in Manenberg was what it should have been – the sharing of love and hope.  And it was followed up on New Year’s Day with more distribution of food parcels.
