Meet our new Leaders

We’ve recently welcomed our new territorial leaders: Commissioners Torben and Deise Eliasen. Commissioner Torben has served in The Salvation Army since 1983. He and his wife have served together in pastoral, administrative and top leadership positions in South America, Europe and Africa.

Commissioner Torben’s kaleidoscopic formal education through Elementary School in Brazil, High School in Portugal, College in the United States and the School for Officers Training in Brazil has naturally given him a multicultural awareness and understanding of life.

God has blessed the Eliasens with two beautiful daughters and six very naughty grandchildren who are their source of endless love and inspiration. To follow Jesus Christ and share His abundant life is the commissioners’ ultimate goal which they embrace wholeheartedly.
